Youth for Christ Kicks Off a New Year at EHS

Youth for Christ kicked off the new school year on a positive note. During their first meeting on Tuesday, September 9, newly announced church sponsors Tony Haywood and Eric Hallback expressed to the students the vision they have for YFC and the path the program is headed towards this school year.

"We want to have a greater impact on a large portion of Eastwood's students and that they may carry on and encourage others with the importance of God's word," said officer Cassie Herrera.

In addition to new sponsors, Youth for Christ recently created an Instagram page (@yfc_ehs) to reach out and promote the club to more students through social media.

Many members are hopeful that the new and improved club will encourage more students to join.  "I would love to see God's love spread throughout Eastwood this school year," said officer Josh Ramirez. "I want to be used by God in YFC, and see him do great things at Eastwood," officer Julia Vega added.

Youth for Christ meets every Tuesday, during both lunches in the theater and choir room.
